Car wash here is a piece of crap. Had to come here because I was too late to go to sharkeys down the street. Soap was left on car because dryers were as strong as hair dryers! Go to sharkeys down the street instead awesome service!
I did not use his name ( employee ) just because I didn't tell him I am posting this, and I didn't ask permission to do so, I don't live around the area, work in Elgin. Blew my tire on 355, at 70mph.

Gas without car wash here is the same as the Shell down the street. With car wash it's $0.15 cheaper. It's closer than the Shell from the 90 exit, so less of a detour of the highway.
Unfriendly Service with a Self-Loathing Smile! The convenience store is open till midnight, but beware of showing up later than 10:30pm. If the night crew hasn't already locked the doors at that point (as they nearly had with me), they'll be quick to remind you (even after you ask about hours) that they close "very soon." Inside you'll find normal food items (etc) at convenience prices, but the nachos, hot dogs, coffee, and anything microwavable have all been shuttered away for the night lest you linger too long. They must be super eager to get to their next after-hours poker game or prayer meeting to offer any real assistance. These folks are bitter about their career choices. Surely this wasn't the level of service they pledged when they bought the place. Anything you ask is met with a hasty & barely audible rebuke under a mustachioed whince. Early the next day I again saw one of these men behind the reception desk at the smaller of 2 hotels next door, so save your complaints for the corporate office hotline later

Just for the record. There's an employee there, morning guy that helped me out BIG TIME!! I had a flat tire, jacked up my car, Jack slipped enough to warrant fear of bodily injury. The employee took time to help me out in the best way possible for his situation. Just know that the man working there is a good person, and a great asset to the area.
